ABOUT THIS DESIGN:
In the abstract, expressionistic style, "Daybreak" pays tribute to the artist’s, Doris Katz, artistic idol, Rothko. A field of maroon and pink fills the bottom 2/3 of the piece. Dividing the work is a blue streak of a lake, above which is a brown horizon hinting at a forest of trees on a hillside. At the top, an orange morning sky with a hint of the yellow sun in the upper right. A golden yellow borders the artwork. The ketubah text is placed in the bottom half of the piece, in a complimentary maroon color.
