Destiny Ketubah

ABOUT THIS DESIGN:
The word "beshert" is Yiddish for "destiny" or "soul mate" and is the focal point of this brightly colored, modern piece, "Destiny" by Micah Parker. Above and below the rainbow-colored design, the phrase, "You are my love. You are my life. You are my destiny," is written in Hebrew and English. In the center of the artwork, the stylized Hebrew letters center around a red, heart-shaped shin, an abstract image of two lovers as they embrace. The vibrant colors of orange, blue, red, yellow, green, and purple, and the motion of the paint strokes are reminiscent of the emotions the couple shares when they are in love, when they have found that perfect person, their destiny, their beshert. The blue ketubah text is written in the upper left corner over a bright yellow backdrop. The signature lines lie inside the artwork at the bottom.
